Fetti Up FAQ

Good questions. Straight answers.

Here is what Fetti Up does, where the organizer stays in control, and where the payment leaves the app.

About the bill, the math, and getting paid back.

What is Fetti Up?

Fetti Up is a receipt-splitting and get-paid-back app for the person who covers an itemized bill. It turns a receipt into an editable draft, helps check the bill, calculates exact shares, and gives friends one link to settle up.

Do friends need Fetti Up?

No Fetti Up account or app is required for a friend paying from a shared bill. They open the link in a browser, enter their name, claim what they had, and see their share.

What if the receipt scan gets something wrong?

The scan creates an editable draft. The organizer reviews the items, prices, tax, tip, fees, and total, and can change anything before sharing the bill.

How are shares calculated?

Deterministic code calculates the shares. It divides shared items, spreads tax, tip, and fees proportionally, and reconciles rounding so the shares add back to the bill total. AI helps read and review the receipt, but it does not do the money math.

What is the bill check?

The bill check surfaces heads-ups about supported mismatches, tip math, and fees visible on the receipt. It does not change the bill automatically. The organizer reviews each heads-up and decides what, if anything, to edit.

Does Fetti Up move money?

No. Fetti Up hands the sender off to a payment app or provides details to copy. Money moves directly between friends, and Fetti Up never holds it.

Are payment details always prefilled?

No. Venmo can receive an amount and memo, Cash App can receive an amount, and Zelle uses copied payment details. A sender whose identity is not verified for the bill may still need to enter or confirm the amount.

Does Fetti Up send reminders automatically?

No. Fetti Up can prepare an editable reminder, but the organizer chooses whether and when to send it from their own device.

Does Fetti Up charge a fee on repayments?

Fetti Up takes no cut of repayments. Any payment provider's own terms may still apply.
